I need dimensions / photos of your factory skid plates, ether plastic or aluminum. I need to see if they differ between the automatic and manual transmissions.
Thanks

‘88 BJ74, manual transmission
First 2 measurement pics are the widths at the rear and front of the plate, respectively.

51495-60130 manual transmission
51495-60190 automatic transmission

They may fit but the drain and fill holes may not line up
Its called a transmission undercover.
The 2 of them seem to be the same for all 7* series , transmission dependant.

Looking at the parts diagram pics the large elongated hole in the centre is further back on the ATM.
If they fit you may be able to cut another hole where needed if you dont have the correct cover

Yeah, mine’s just sitting in the extra/scrap metal car parts pile if someone wants it who is looking at this thread.

..... and yes we are trying to improve the OEM (plastic in the case of the 77 Series) version.

And to contribute to the community, I have one that I will not be using.

Came off my 73 series made in spain, with the 2.5 VM motor and h55f tranny.

Did this project ever come to fruition? Looking for a bash plate for my HZJ75.
The shop made several sets for customers but due to the backlog of work at this time, I’m not sure they will fabricate more in the near future. They are obviously very expensive to ship.
