Now thats what I call a great summer. The old girl is going to love all the attention. I went with Taskled on the middle interior light and it is bright as hell.

For rust prevention I did eastwood satin chassis black, and then went with gloss on top. I didnt prep it right so it peeled off a year later. I then used Amsoil Metal Protector on whole undercarriage, inside doors, wheel wells etc. It dries to a wax like coating that is totally waterproof. Easy to apply and re-apply.

Thanks!

I'll look into the Amsoil products.

Dude! You trying to start a war? Asking what type/weight oil is like making statements about somone's momma.

I say we use storebrand 90wt for a thousand or so miles, drain it, and then put in whatever favorite brand you prefer after that.

Gunky Mess

Well, I picked up the radiator and it's all cleaned and painted and ready to go back in.

I've pulled the Alt., Thermostat housing, Water Pump/Fan and brackets. Cleaned and painted the brackets and working on the front of the engine.......what a gunky mess....It also amazed me that the original hoses are still in place and haven't blown....If anything, I'm glad that I'll get those replaced.

The 4.56 and ARB lockers will be in the mail today so we'll get those in and plumbed.

I like that your oil filter has "OFF ->" painted/white out'd on it. Remember, "Lefty-loosey, righty-tighty!"

Crap.....you saw that....I tell you, cruzer guys miss nothing!

Your right! Sometimes I get carried away.

Thanks!

Filter

It has a whole paragraph on there you can't see. The date/time it was changed, the date it will be changed, the temperature in the garage that day, direction to loosen, direction to tighten, initials signing off on the job, and a reminder to fill the engine with oil....... ;) Just messin ya!! OCD!!!!

ARB Airlines

Ok-

My lockers are "in the mail" and will be here on Friday.
But, I'm really interested in how people have run and mounted your ARB airlines to the front and rear locker so as to reduce any problems.....

Pictures would be great! Thanks!

Update-

Exrsa1 came by last night and we got the knuckles rebuilt with new bearings and seals. I'll put in the marlin seals tonight.
Here's some porn shots of the new 4.56's and ARB's. I hope to put those in sometime this weekend.
I also did the rear heater hose delete. It certainly cleans out the engine bay of extra heater hoses!

Well, managed to get a few things done this weekend.

Pulled, cleaned, painted and installed new rear brakes and cylinder.

Pulled and replaced rear axle bearings and seals.

Was messing around with the airpump hoses and managed to break off a large hose coming off the EGR/Emissions stuff on the fender....lucky I have some Emission parts and managed to fix it....lesson learned-don't mess with it if it's not broken!

Sorry, no pix tonight.

im assuming whatever you said was garbage since i navigate this whole site purely with pictures!

looks good captain. cant wait to hear how the gears do.

Pix

I got guilted into posting some pix.

New rear brakes

New SS brake lines

Replacing side cover gasket.......BTW, anything I should look for in there while I have the cover off?

Thanks!
