We had to apply a little heat (torch) and gently press a piece of pipe to the antenna location on the snorkel to allow for proper clearance. No fender removal necessary and it's not really that tight in there. Able to reach all bolts with ancillaries removed inside the engine compartment and antenna dropped out of place.

To bring this back to the top. Are we leaving ON June 2nd? Or are we leaving June 1 in the afternoon/evening? A quick Google Maps estimate shows this is about a 4 hour drive.

Jack

I vote June 2nd in the morning if that works for everyone else. I normally wouldn't get off shift until 0700 that morning, but, if we set a meet time I can use some leave and cut out earlier to meet up. I will need to drive back to Topeka from Lawrence to pick people up and then head towards the KC area. Could probably be up there by 0800.

Mitch and I can leave either day and would be glad to head out 6/1 if a few decide to go early.

We plan to trailer and drop tow rig close to trail end...in case anyone else is doing the same.

Weather may determine if we trailer the 40 or drive the 80 down.

Josh will still have learners permit.

it shouldn't be an issue to leave in the evening after work. Could be a fun little night trip and set up camp at 10-11 pm closer to the trail head. We'd need the expertise of @SammyT08FJ for a spot to camp. If we can do the whole 155 miles in the 4 days were expecting AND make the 4 hour trip on the morning of the second, camping on the 1st would only be for the heck of it.

Outside of that, there's enough hours in the PTO bank that we should be able to get what we need without twisting any arms as long as we figure out exactly when we're leaving soon

What do you think @kc_chevota, @Robkc, @1MAC, and Sammy?

We can do the whole trail in 2.5 days. So my plan is to meet around 11 or so on June 2nd in st joe Arkansas. However there are a ton of trails and things to see along the way so I was planing on taking my time and exploring a little bit. I'm going on a early run at the end of April so we can make adjustments accordingly. Camping will be primitive and most of the time there are spots along the trail. No bathrooms so plan accordingly.

Oh okay, I was expecting it to be a little more technical and take longer than 2.5 days or so. I'm eager to hear what your thoughts are when you do your run at the end of April. Make sure to take a lot of pictures when you're out there!

No problems with camping and bathrooms on this end.

I bought one and has a small corner ding...that's it. Super deal and shipped immediately. Read a lot of reviews and all looked good.

Satisfied for now but haven't field tested yet. Was considering a Yeti but this made more sense. Most all the overnight places we wheel have had electrical so will use on those events as well and leave at camp. You're welcome to stop by and have a look.

Is this a good fridge freezer ? Shall I consider it as good as Waeco ? I am still thinking about Waeco 65 liter fridge freezer which is now about 690 dollars in Amazon.

I have not bought one yet because I have a yeti. But these units are usually 50 percent off and have a ding or two so a great buy. Only thing for you everything in Europe and Russia is 220v so you will have to have a converter or use your 12v only.

. There are technical areas where if you want to do some body damage or test out your birfs that can be arranged ;). But I'll take a ton of pics and video so you know what to expect.

What do you think of your yeti? I have a $300 gift certificate to Cabelas and was thinking of buying one. What size do you have? I was also looking at the Cabelas brand but it really isn't much cheaper.

Yetis are great man. If you have a couple minutes one night, I'd be happy to swing by the station on the way to Italian Delight with my cooler and give you the rundown on them.
