Have you looked into labrak.com???

I recently purchased the full modular set-up for my 100 series and can say that I am very impressed with the quality and strength of the rack. I haven't ran the 80 series mounts yet but have looked at his 80 series mounts and they look very impressive. Search for AATLAS1X he is the contact for MetricTLC & LabRak

Which BajaRack?

I went with the BajaRack flat utility rack and I love it. It's flat so it's low profile which allows me to still park in 1/3 of the parking garages and it's flat so hauling 16' 2x6's is nice and easy. It was also less than 1/2 the cost of an ARB so that's nice too... Not sure how many mounts the ARB uses but the Baja has 4 per side which let's me sleep better at night.

OTOH, I don't know of much stuff that ARB makes that isn't pretty awesome so if you have the budget and don't need the clearance then go for it!

Baja and ARB

Both steel tube that nothing bolts to.
Not stainless.

LabRak not cheap, but fair.

Built to use not to put in your roof and look cool.

Aluminium = stronger and lighter.
Mount RTT safely.
Mount HiLift and still get into garages.
84x51"
Lots of Bitchen add ons.
Made in the USA

When I did my research this is what I wanted:
Awning mounts
HiLift
Axe
Camp Lights
LED light bar acceptable.
Repairable if damaged
Light weight
Extrusion is superior to steel
Metal is all stainless steel.

I guess you in your research you missed the fact that ARB does make a alloy rack and will except the awning mounts and a few other accessory's

I run the Rhino Rack Pioneer platform

Rhino rack, eh?

I'm liking this option:

I could even park in my garage.

Mine is the Alloy that I add the front and half side rails to ..... Not cheap and they are heavy ..like 90LBS

Lou

Sent from my iPad using IH8MUD

Not as heavy as my old Con-Ferr.

I like the modular aspect of it, and I could build it over time. Looks like I could fit it in the garage too, which is a big deal for me.
