Oh, I love using Chinese knock-off stuff for vehicle recovery... no, wait... I was thinking of fireworks.

I have seen specifically those MCC bars in person on a variety of vehicles and they are pretty bad. they actually come out of Thailand as far as I'm aware.

The locking pins are terrible, sides not braced properly, the number plate mounting bracket on the tyre looks crap and possibly easily stolen, the powder coating is of low quality etc etc. though i suppose you get what you pay for?

edit: also does not come with a towbar inbuilt like the ARB

My prersonal preference for any modification I make to a car that transports my family is to choose quality first.

That being said I did find some pics of this bumper to share.

I would like to think the RADFLO guys might be a good source of info on quality and function. Some great points have been made concerning proper support / bracing as well as powder coat - for me it's a no go.

Enjoy the pics.

If the rear bumper was a little shorter on the sides (not so tall and close to the ground), I would order one in a heartbeat for the price!

Definitely the MCC brand as stated above by @brooa.

Here is a link with more information

Rear Carrier Bars MCC 022- 02

Further research on some Australian off-road forums indicates this factory in Thailand produced the Ironman brand bumpers before producing it under their own name "MCC". Ironman no longer utilizes them to build the Ironman brand bumpers.

Quality seems to be hit or miss. You get what you pay for but this does meet ADR from what I can find.

Hey there. The bumper that I have is not an actual Mcc bumper. I used the picture to give an idea. The actual product that I have is the one that is blurred. The reason that I don't have good pics of the rear as yet is because I never imported rears. I have a shipment of rears which will be available in a week or so. I'll be able to post better pics of the rear. I have been importing off roading accessories about 6 months now and I've had zero issues with quality. They are all coming from China. And China is where they are all being made (ARB ironman smittybilt etc).
It is a matter of who is manufacturing your stuff for you. You can buy very cheap bumpers on alibaba but you will also get the very last quality. All of my customers are very happy and I welcome anyone to have a detailed look at my bumpers. I communicate directly with manufacturers and they manufacture the way I request it to be.
I'm in coral spring Florida 33067, I'll be more than happy to show any of my product.

That lx470 has on a Chinese bumper on the front and rear that I also sell. I'm 100% sure about the first 3 pics

So it's a knock-off of a knock-off?

Fwiw ARB manufactures bumpers in Australia and their own wholly owned plants in Asia (not China) Low volume stuff i.e. 100 rear bars are made in Australia. Just sayin ;)

Nope. Not all coming from China - or even Asia. ARB is made in Australia, Dissent Offroad is made in the US, Slee is made in the US...

We all just need to buy what we are pleased with. ARB is by far one of the best names in the off roading industry. As well as ironman tjm kaymar etc.
So it's a matter of preference.

Agree and well said.

Any chance of the 100 series rear bumper having a receiver option?
