A couple of more pics like these, and the ARB will be a have to FROM the Princess, instead of a want from me....

Put a shift solenoid in mine a while back. Pop the pan and a couple screws......Piece of Cake.:D

You replaced a couple of solenoids, right? Does that make it two pieces of cake?

You are correct. I had a bad one and while the pan was off I replaced both. So I guess that I did have to remove one more 6mm bolt and a connector. Perhaps a piece and a bit of extra frosting off the knife..:D

About 3 yrs ago 80 was parked and my wife called that a coke truck had dragged our vehicle. No damage - the lady in the Merc next to our 80 was a bit in panic when she saw how close our 80 came to hitting her vehicle. I guess 80's have an affinity to Mercs based on the initial post in this thread...

Hey Filmore, Cool pics that shows more proof of the toughness of these ARB bumpers. Who makes the side bar on your ARB? I know ARB doesn't import these anymore, but another co. makes one almost identical but can't think of the companies name. I think they are in Tennessee

His was a gennie ARB.

lol

Very funny. :)

anyone selling their ARB?? i'm sold!

Haha....Irony. I dont have pics yet, but a brand new Grand Cherokee changed lanes at the wrong time yesterday. He got about a three inch groove from his rear passenger door to the taillight. Grinddddddddddddd CRACK. I was laughing actually, my truck didnt so much as budge in its lane, and the ARB caught all the damage if you can call it that. I got some red paint on it, and a some scuffed off. No bending at all. That guys got probably 2000 dollars in damage to his new truck.

"Can I get your insurance, just for my purposes?"

"Ahhhahahahahaha........NO. Have a nice day" :flipoff2:

Corey,

Another interested in the source of your side bars??

DougM

Actually I'm not sure. The PO had the truck built at 4x4 Connection. The sliders that the bars connect to are 4x4Connection's custom (and crap). They look better built than the sliders, so I'm guessing that they may be ARB?
