Shipping is still 1-2 weeks?
That seems to be about the average. I think most of them gets shipped out from CA, and if you are local i have seen a few members pick it up from Lu themselves. My VL45 was also shipped from CA (i am in NC) and took about 2 weeks, where for 1 week it sat in the UPS store with no scans, then arrived about 5 days after it got the departure scan. You should get a tracking number within 1-2 business day for in-stock models; let us know here if you do not get one soon and i can help you bug Lu about it!

You should be able to get ahold of him for order pickups, he seems to respond to that pretty well. It's the passing me info on the new models that he's a turtle about, so maybe when you see him you can poke at that for us. Let us know if you have trouble getting ahold of him for pickup though. Thanks bud!

Did you call him before hand? The number goes to an auto answer saying its closed :/

That’s funny I was just looking at that and thinking “what are the chances someone else develops one that looks just like it, Lid and all”. Then I read your comment lol.

Thank you for answering that!

@silver02accord thanks bud! Feedback is much appreciated.

@Jonchez thank you for the interest and question as well.

I've already ordered, based on the knowledge that these run SECOP danfoss compressors as we've been told, and as advertised on the website.

how certain are we that they actually run those compressors?

tonight I came across this video where this guy actually opens his up, takes the panel off the iCooler 3 in 1, and you can see at 7:00 minutes, the cooler is running a "HUAYI" compressor.

Now, does that mean its a bad compressor? Nobody is making that claim. Everyone seems to love their ICECO's. But if they advertise they run SECOP brand compressors and dont actually, then...... o_O

I think @SharpeCat this deserves an answer from Lu, and possibly further investigation. Do these run SECOP brand compressors as we've been told? do they run HUAYI compressors ?

Anybody with a VL series willing to open theirs up?

I can open mine up tomorrow and see. I highly doubt this is the case though, and I would suspect that it’s an ICECO knock off if it is. They have been making videos with expanded views and advertising the compressor for years, and it would be a well known fact by now if that wasn’t the case.

Wish I read this 30 mins ago before I threw my VL45 back in the car! Tempted to take it back out but it’s almost 4am and I should really get some sleep. Don’t worry, I will do a stream tomorrow and open it up and get us a close look!

No need, I just remembered that when I was looking at them on Kickstarter (before I contacted iceco to pitch the group buy idea), that the warranty was not the same; that is a sure sign that it is not SECOP. I do not see anywhere that advertises the Secop on the iCooler.

Now it makes sense why it is cheaper than the others. Thanks for bringing that up, as I missed that detail as well and need to clarify from here on. On my price lists, unless otherwise stated, you can assume SECOP. It’s also usually stated on the model pages, as they love to point out that little detail lol. Also, look for the 5 year warranty.

No need, but I will open it up on stream tomorrow anyways. It honestly was just a matter of time anyways, as I like to take things apart to learn about them.

Any Idea about the TR? Was told on Firday that it would be added over the weekend. Still not on there and no follow up from Lu...
Not yet but let me text him and see if I can get a response. Just woke up lol.

Update: No luck yet, may need to make a Twitter account and start the #HelLU hashtag soon. Will update once he responds.

I have not posted it sorry, was waiting on a little more info so I didn’t have to make 2 different ones but it’s looking like we will have a “available now” and a “coming soon” price list. I will post today. Just got a couple small errands to run then back to work.

As of right now it’s just JPs and VLs basically (which accounts for most of their site) as well as the bags and slides associated. Waiting to add new models to list and then ask for extension on the discount dates.
