AOE bumper group buy???

I wish it was true for the sake of all whom need shipping, but unfortunately it is false.

I'm in. Raw no light holes. When can we expect delivery? I live near fresno and the wife and kid go to disney a lot so I could just use it as an excuse to make another trip in the Cruiser. How soon are we talking here?

I'm thinking about leaving it raw and electro etch patterns or words/lettering on the bumper. Electro etching is relatively easy to do, it does change the content of the metal slightly bc it oxidize the bare metal, but not enough to change structural integrity.

For the front bumper I just used a wire wheel on my drill, worked great since the metal was very clean. Sean's rear bumper came with a black coating which was very hard to remove, even with a sander and 60 grit discs. After a while I just gave up and went with paint!

And in case you guys need more convincing :)

I drive to Fresno a few times a year, ain't no way I'm taking the LC unless I'm hitting Yosemite, gas will be roughly $300 :(

I've tried contacting Alex multiple times using the 818 number on the AOE website and have had no luck.

I'm looking to get black powdercoating with the cutouts.
 
Jose, Can you provide a picture of how the bumper mounts to the frame?
You have the best camera on the forum, I figure you'd be the guy to ask.

I will have to call him first, but as stated it's a group buy, I have to get everyone to commit and do a deposit or pay in full. I don't think he would sell a single bumper for group buy price while he doesn't have any confirmation from me. I will PM you later, work is busy right now.

I can, but I'm in Costa Rica right now for work :) Won't be back home until next week. But if it helps, it has 14 total attachment points, using existing bolt holes. You'll most likely need to buy new hardware because in my case, I didn't have the bolts for all the holes on my truck.

It's 7 bolts on each side. If you remove your factory bumper and brackets and just look at the bare frame rails you'll see 2 bolt holes on top, 3 on the side and 2 underneath. All of those will line up with the holes on the AOE bumper.

I talked to Alex, he was willing to give me $150 off. I pulled the trigger on it so I will not be a part of the group buy.
 
when is the closing date?? I want to work on getting me a bumper north of the border :P

Anyway however of not having the AOE on the bumper.... just personal taste

I would be interested with the light cutouts, + a black powder coat -(wrinkle coated if possible) ;)

What is the time frame, how much down and then the balance upon being ready for shipping? When is the expected completion date. Sorry for all the ???s but trying to get things set up for the years end.

I'm doing my best to contact Alex, I called him about 5 times and left 4 messages. I'm waiting for a call back, please be patient, he usually get back to me pretty quickly.
