Anyone swap in a 2020-2023 steering wheel into a 2010-2019 (specifically 2010-2013) GX460?

What year GX460 do you have? I wonder if the connectors, wiring, or both themselves changed between 2010-2013 and 2014-2023? I guess I'll find out. I'm almost certain it won't be plug and play for my 2010.

All comes down to the clock spring. My 22 had one black connector and one smaller white connector into the top area of the clock spring. I bet you have these and are likely the same / though pin out may vary

Then there was one small wire harness towards the 7oclock position on the clock spring but that went from the spring directly to the heating module. If your earlier model doesn’t have heat your spring won’t have this wire most likely.

No heated wheel here. I'll update the thread once I get started. I need to figure out how to open up the connector so I can simply move the pins around. Won't know more until I see them first hand.

Step one though is to find an airbag...

‘10-‘13 w/radar cruise and grill/mirror camera switches

I’ll see what I can find in my printed ‘12 wiring diagram book. I have the last year (2012) that Lexus printed physical book for wiring diagrams….as well as other volumes. I only have the wiring diagram one though.

Many of the FSMs available do differ a bit at least on some wire color coding as they are generally from Eurasian markets.

I'm surprised you needed a steering wheel on such a new vehicle, on 4 years old (as of last week...)? Or did you just really want the 360 leather and heat?

My steering wheel is just fine. I hate the 2010-2019 GX steering wheel, it's uncomfortable on long trips. I prefer a 3 spoke design.

Well that was pretty simple. I spent an hour or so on it. If I did it again, probably a 20 min. job.

I did not know the whole button assembly simply prys and pops off once you take out the two retaining screws.
I was sitting there trying to get the rear plastic shroud off forever, but once the button part pops off, there is a screw at the bottom.

I love the continuous wrap, vs. wood, and 360 degree heat seems decent!

I am curious if the logo at the bottom of the wheel can give any clues to who the manufacturer was or where these can be ordered. I found something similar on ebay, but not sure if it is the same thing. 360 heat sounds like a nice upgrade for MN though! I bet most of these "custom" aftermarket ones are nearly the same. Lots of them on etsy with the knockoff Fsport emblem like mine has. Its hard to find the 'normal' looking ones through the mess of wild racetrack / carbon ones.
