Nope. KO2’s are better:flipoff2:

They might be. No disrespect to the K02 crowd! With all the rain we get in Seattle I think the Coopers may channel water better... time will tell.

IIRC the K02s in same size run ~66lbs each. Cooper says 64lbs for the 315/75/16s.

When you say they run small, what are you comparing them to? I'm always interested to gather real life sample data. I run K02s now and enjoy them (balance true, very quiet), but am interested in the AT3s as they're newer by a few years.

Glad the K02s are working for you. Discount gave me the 63lb weight...Cooper site has a typo actually and says 40lbs for the 315s! When I measured the tire diameter before installation it was just shy of 34" and right at 34" when mounted which is a half inch shorter than the Cooper spec (34.49).

Just got 5 Cooper AT3 and loved them. Much cheaper than Wildpeaks and KO2s. Great warranty, quiet on the highway and look great. So far very pleased. Got 275/70r18 on 18” Tundra wheels

I currently run sst Maxx and am on my second set , but have ran the AT3 on a 3/4 ton dodge truck for years they are a great tire and will probably be the next tire on the 100 if I ever wear out these ST Maxx . I’m a big fan of Cooper tires

I love the look of the tires with the white walls out. I wish I would have gone that route! I picked up some Discoverer AT3 XLT's in 295/70/18 a couple months ago and I absolutely love them. They are the first set of AT's I've run on the LC so hard to compare to others for the same vehicle but I ran KO2s on my Z71 before and these ride better IMHO. Not sure how they compare offroad but onroad is quieter and more compliant.

Those look great, I'm guessing you don't have a 5th in the factory spare location? If that size fits, I'll have to seriously consider it.

Currently looking at the Coopers and Falkens in 275/70/18 to replace my 285/65/18 Nitto Muds. Great tires but scary on ice, somewhat loud, and almost worn out. Had the ST Maxx on my last truck and loved them but am looking at something even milder this go-round.

I havent tried putting one of the new Discoverer's in the factory spare location but my plan is to grab a used one for less than $100 and see if it will fit. I think a worn, deflated 295 will work given the success people have had with fully inflated, brand new 275's. I'll report back with the results once I get around to giving it a try.

I am curious how htese XLTs will do offroad..... concerned about the sidewall. I heard from somone at Cruise Moab that hte XLTs spun a TON compared to Ridge grapplers on the sandpaper slickrock

That'd be awesome, hope I see that, thanks! I actually would prefer to get 5 matching tires, but am also cheap...

I can tell you that a 255/85/16 fits up there and it's pretty tight. I also did the spare tire "lift" so I moved up the whole winching mechanism higher, hence harder to see it below, to get the spare tucked tightly. A 295/70/18, I'm not seeing that, even deflated a bit, but where there's a will there's a way. A 295 is a pretty juicy tire for these rigs, and it's already amazing the extra room underneath. Post findings!

Sorry for blur.

I definitely think its going to be super tight fit and its going to hang a bit but the 295 only runs 1.2" taller than yours and 1.6" wider. It looks like you have enough space because of the spare tire lift to add in another inch or so before it gets awkwardly low. Right?

@TxAggieLC , you are right on paper about the size differences, but mfg of tires have varied "size" for the same numbers.

I feel that all tires hang low on the 100. B/c I run skinny's and did the lift, it's way up and hardly looks there, but prior to that, when I ran 285/75/16's and didn't do the winch lift, it was woefully low. I hated it. I couldn't even utilize the trailer hitch chain stays when I got a uhaul, i had to lower the tire and then cinch it back up, after attaching safety chains.

Pretty sure most folks are dealing with same thing if they haven't modified compartment. Good idea on buying a used budget tire for experimentation. May be a hard to find size in used. I would advise doing the lift? It would give you much more to play with? What yr is your 100? It's super easy for early yrs and a bit more re routing for later yrs due to charcoal evap.

I agree that the spare does seem to hang low on the 100. Even the stock spare tire is more noticeable than I was expecting.

I have an '06 which means I'll have to move the charcoal canister in order to make the "lift" mod work. I havent found much on how much more intensive that is compared to the earlier yr 100s.

Does anyone have these at3 xlts on method 305s on their 200 series? If so, what sizes?

I have these on 17" RW wheels. 285/70/17. They are hands down my favorite tire. VERY quite on the road, tons of grip in the snow and ice, great off road and strong.

This is the 100 forum—certainly some folks in here also have 200s but if you’re interested in pics of these on a 200, maybe try over at the 200 series forum?
I run these on our 100–stinking great. We have tall skinnies (235/85R16) on 6x16 70-series steelies and they’ve performed great in all kinds of terrain— People have been consistently blown away by how well they perform for AT tires.

Got over 50k miles out of the first set (rotating five tires); just bought four new ones and put the least worn old one as the spare, which I don’t anticipate needing after no flats or serious sidewall damage over years of abuse with the first set. And the new set is three peaks rated, which is great, as it keeps you from needing tire chains in some places.
