Anyone know of a source for the 20004 oil filter?

Jump on them!! You've got the market captured. Now all you've got to do is figure out how to feed them to those mangy mutts you sleep with instead of women.

I know this is an old thread but I just want to let you know that 90915-20004 oil filter are still available through some dealer out there. I patiently called and e-mailed each listed dealer from the Toyota website and luckily I finally got 17 20004 oil filters. Yeah! Be patience, grasshopper! :flipoff2:

How's that mail order bride working out? You know, the nice Asian lady with the quick mind and cute smile. Or did you feed her to the mutts too? :D

A pic is worth... The left filter is the USA mini-truck filter, the middle I believe was a V8 filter superceded by the -20004. The -YZZB9 mini-truck is just slightly smaller than the -YZZB5 which is slightly smaller than the -20004. I believe all three are resin elements filters. Ok Dan, I'll go away now ...

YZZB5- orange, spongy material (resin?)
20004- orange (as you already know)
08922-02011- yellowish, folded paper (made in USA)

You can try Toyota 4Runner/ Supra applications also for these filters.
Toyota specs the 02011 instead of the YZZB5 now (mine originally came with the YZZB5 but parts dept. doesn't have it).

02011 box lists:
1G series
M series
VZ series
3S-GTE
22R
JZ
2TZ-FE

Dredging topics today and readying for an oil change...

So what's the word on the K&N? Anyone cut one open yet? I tried search but came up with nuttin...

Napa

NAPA GOLD 1515 filter ($5.29 and made by Wix) is a good filter and I use it in my 80. It's a big filter like the 20004 and MUCH better (IMO) than the smaller throw-away Toyota filter they replaced it with. I'm also running M1 10w30 Synth-Blend High Mileage formula (I have 124,800 and live in South Florida). Hope this helps. K&M oil filter also good - NAPA stocks and orders.
