Anyone have a safari snorkel template for the 60?

You can always go the route that I went when cutting a hole in my fender on my custom job, just use the eye ball technique

Been looking at those lately, cheap and seem to be good quality from the few installs I have seen here on Mud.

Yes I just received mine yesterday, looks to be awesome quality!
After reading about all the guys in the 80 and 100 series forum talking about them and buying them, I went for it.
Because of my stalling though, the shipping went up $30 in the last month.
Still, 195 is not bad at all.
The template does not have the large hole.

The one I have on my truck came with a template, but after seeing a firend use the stock template from the Safari snorkle and how poorly it fit I just measured mine and installed it. The biggest issue is getting the spacing right so you do not have too large a gap on the A pillar.
Measure it, if you cut the hole closer it will be better as the snorkle will cover up whatever you don't get right.

The template was pretty good actually, practiced on the beater truck first though.
Any tricks to hooking up the hose to the snorkel? Is it better to clamp it on the snorkel before the snorkel is slotted in? Slipping the hose on the snorkel from in the fender is a bit tough because the hose is a tight fit.
I did a 3.25 inch hole so there is not a lot of room to play with.
Anyways I will figure it out tomorrow.

Where can one get a template? I have a safari snorkel that I want to install. I've had great experience with the safari stuff on 3 fj cruiser installs. Need a template if someone can point me in the right direction.

I attached the flex hose to the snorkel before I put it on mine. I had a template, donated it to Radd Cruisers in Duncan in case anyone wanted to use it. Some one threw it away.....Should have just kept it, I'm a slow learner. Did you paint the holes before you put the snorkel on? Especially on the A pillar, you don't want to make your own truck rust.
