Chris. I think 6000 maybe. That's a pile o miles

Bomar. Didn't you learn your lesson on wheeling Wagons? An SAS 100 would be a heavy wide monster

That was the offer extended and accepted, I just chickened out.

The only reason to do a Solid swap (with 80 axle) would be to run larger than 35" tires and the only reason to do that would be to rockcrawl it.

No wider just too wide to wheel big rocks and not destroy

Thank's for clarifying Nolen.

I'll be keeping my eve out for one.

What I think would be great is to get a simple steering system and stronger axles. Tisa's 100 is built very nicely and that is one of the few things that I would change to make it a lifer in my garage. If can't do I only have another 10 yrs and can get a 105.

If you wheel these trucks any they seem to eat steering racks quickly.

I would go a diamond housing in a perfect world. If I was in Jackson I would commission JRob Fab and put in on the books for a few years out.

Steering racks are cheaper than solid axles, but I've replaced two racks in my truck, FWIW.

170K hard miles. The original factory rack lasted a good while, but the first TEQ reman replacement did not last as long. New racks come with inner tie rods attached whether you need them or not which adds to the cost, but saves you the hassle of swapping old ones onto new rack. Install is a pain the first time because one of the bolts doesn't clearance the engine block. FSM says to remove tranny cross member and tilt powerplant back on motor mounts. I reversed that bolt to go in from the bottom upon re-installation to alleviate that headache the next time.

THAT is the 55 our new friend in Oklahoma should have bought... Damn that's nice!
I thought the exact same thing BossMan.
