Isn't that a part that the aftermarket makes? Seems like I've seen a few of those.

That I don't know. We've been stocking the OEM version for a few decades so I've never had a need to hunt down an aftermarket :D

When these sell-thru, I'll keep a few in my Noah's Ark of off-line parts for future reproduction, museum needs, etc and to match against an aftermarket offering.

Did a quick search and I'm not seeing anything populate with the 78101-90300 here on Mud or google. The only listing that pops up besides all the NLA Toyota listings is a $99 option on Ebay.

I'm thinking of the pedals I always rip off when I de-Weber a Cruiser. I think that's the style they use

The one Kurt has looks more like the one SOR offers, with the hand throttle tab on the side. If I posted the image from the manufacturer, it would be too easy to Google. Suffice it to say, they are readily available in the aftermarket. Jim from Downey shared the source with me THIRTY YEARS AGO!

These are now sold-out, that was fast!

I do have two more in my Noah's Ark of NLA parts. If someone in the future is doing a period correct restoration or similar and must have a Genuine Toyota 78101-90300, ping me. Otherwise it will go in my retirement division :D

Good to hear there are aftermarket solutions. I'd never hunted as we've always had these available. Greg P (RIP :( ) reached out about a few dozen NOS ones he had in stock years ago and we snagged them up. Not sure if the juice is worth the squeeze in finding a new source given our shelf space constraints but I'm a sucker for inventory, much of which I'll likely be buried with :D

Sorry, just seeing this Mark. Hopefully my text clarified things. Hope all is well.

Yeah. It’s going to take some time to process. Like I said, I’ve known Greg since he was 19.

I completely understand. I was traveling out of the country and received a late night call from Jonathan Ward letting me know. Greg and Jonathan had remained quite close all these years.

IIRC, the white 40 in the upper left of the color page was Greg’s. The guy hanging off the back of my 40 in the bottom pic is none other than a very young David Freiburger.
