Traded a 2018 Shelby GT350 for my LC. I'm 62 and found the Shelby was really nice and fast, but always drove my F250. Had the Gt350 for 1-1/2 yrs and only put 2000 miles. It was time to get something I'd drive. I love my LC. My F250 now sits...

Don't get me wrong, the S65 is probably one of the last engines of its kind, a naturally aspirated 4.0L V8 that redlines at 8250 and puts out over 100hp/ liter without forced induction. I truly miss the sound it made above 7k. I also miss the S54 in the E46 M3 that I had. I tracked both cars and had a lot of fun doing it but bouncing over rocks on the Rubicon, dodging trees on Dusy Ershim, or blasting down miles of high speed washboard in rural Nevada are just more fun at the moment...hence my LC addiction. When I eventually get back into sportscars, it will be in a GT3.
I do find it interesting that many LC owners also have owned M3/4/5/6 BMWs.
Anybody here sell their sports car to get a Land cruiser or LX 570? I currently have a 2017 Chevy Camaro ZL1. I am seriously considering this selling it for Land cruiser or LX 570. I know they are two different worlds. As crazy as this might sound, I know there must be some of you that made the move. Was hoping you could share your experience and if you miss it still.
For the longest time, I thought I would never sell my car. However, if I am going to, it would be either for Land cruiser or LX 570. Before getting my Camaro ZL1 three years ago, I had a tough decision between these three vehicles. I definitely had my fun with the car and enjoyed every moment. However, I know the wife would enjoy one of these SUVs much more.

I thought this was just me. Doesn't help that mine is loud too....Try driving a 911. Everybody in a Honda or a minivan thinks they are auditioning for Fast and Furious at every stoplight. Lol
How did you like the Shelby GT-350? My brother just bought a new one.
Yup. a '16 M4 heavily tuned to just over 525HP was my daily but the 200lb English Mastiff rescue didn't fit, so I bought a second vehicle for him (an '06 Range Rover HSE) and then got rid of both when I picked up the LC. I miss track days and the sound of that exhaust on start-up in cold weather. Such an amazing vehicle, but I wouldn't trade the LC to go back. Would love to have a GT3 in addition to the LC, but not in the budget after spending $100k on an MBA over the last couple of years.
The cold start on any M-car sends chills down your spine. I agree, if I could only have 1 vehicle, it would be the Landcruiser, without a doubt....and if I could only have 1 Landcruiser, it would hands down be the 200. Its the total package.
@Hothonda said it well. Landcruisers, like most other vehicles mentioned in this thread are high quality, low volume, over engineered niche cars that only a certain type of person can truly appreciate.
To the OP, the overwhelming consensus of this thread is.....BUY a 200! You may miss your Camero, but you will open up the door to many other adventures in the 200. Not one person said they wish they hadn't purchased their LC.

What’d you get into? Year and LC/LX?
