Hi There

On my 1999 LC the cup holders are not deep enough to hold the mugs properly.
Also the diameter is one size without grabbers....

Any adaptor that can be inserted ?

Pls advise

Jay

Agree, totally useless design for holding anything drinkable- nothing fits - and stays upright (with the exception of a liter size Fiji water bottle- the square bottle wedges nicely into the cup holder and stays put.)

I use the FJ cup holder inserts in my 99. Toyota part 55616-35010. They are a soft rubbery insert that fits snugly and keeps cans and cups upright and secure. A short coffee cup with handle would not work with these. The soft insert also quiets rattling of the extra stuff in your cup holder. The only catch with the FJ insert is they are too tall to let the lid shut.

One liter Nalgene bottles fit perfectly in the cup holders sans the adjustable middle insert. They are the water bottle of choice for my crew.

I went to autozone and picked up a cupholder/organizer. I used my bandsaw to cut off the organizer side and velcrow'd the taller cup holder in two spots. Works like a champ!! I'll post up a pic. Wife's LX570

I feel like this has been the biggest 'elephant in the room' since I've been on this forum. So glad it was brought up...can't stand taking turns at 1.5mph so my stupid water bottle won't fly out.

Hey 87 Warrior

Can you post up pics with that FJ cruiser rubber cup inserts....do they really work even for water / soda bottles ?

Thanks

Jay

So, is there a difference in the size of the cup holders? I have a '98 LX and a Nalgene 1 liter bottle definitely will not fit in there, but @B-RAD says that they fit in his 2000 no problem. Anyone else notice a size difference? If that's the case then I want to switch...

Here I was, still happy with the 100 series cup holders after living with an 80 series for so long, and y'all had to go and ruin it for me...
