War Damn Eagle!!!!!! Spent many years there in college, I think.

I have March PUlleys on my 40, which have a clear powder on them. Not sure that answers your question.

Blasted and was getting ready to coat my water pump pulley and started wondering if the constant belt friction will be a problem - wearing away the pc/gumming up the belt?

Should be o.k. but I wouldn't try to get it thick in the groove or anything.

I think eventually any paint is going to come off where there is belt contact.

Yup. If you do it, just make sure to keep it out of the channel, and if you pay someone to do it, tell them the same. You'll be ok. If a little gets in there, it'll wear out. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I've powder coated a number of pulleys and have had no issues with belt wear.
