Ok, so my sunroof leaks. All four drains are clear and letting out water. The rubber gasket isn’t torn or crumbling save for a few little knicks. I still get a leaking sunroof. I find water on the ground after it rains.

Today I went though a carwash and found that the blowers blew the sunroof down in the back and water got in.

I’m wondering if the play that I saw today in the carwash may have something to do with the leak. Anybody else experience this? Any fixes?

All sunroofs leak a little bit on all model of vehicles typically. That is why they have drip trays. That said you can improve the seal a great deal I think. Ive been working on mine this week. If it turns out good I will post up the details. Some have also used inner tubing as a fix. I dont know what they did though exactly. But I've heard it works well.

where on the floor is your leak? What year model do you have?

I ask because are you sure its not the window that is leaking? I had clear drains but was getting wet a pillars and passenger front floor. Turns out the windshield seal was leaking, fixed that and no more leaks, Until my son cracked the pan of the sun roof then I was getting puddles in the headliner that would drip down the rear passenger B and C pillars. So now my sunroof has flex seal tape on it until I either replace it or weld it shut.

I have a 94 though so its a soft fabric headliner.

It’s def the sunroof. It leaks in the front foot areas. I know the windshield has been ok with no leaks because for 6 months, I never opened the sunroof, and never had an issue. Then, I got some PDR work on the roof of the car, and the guy went in via the sunroof to avoid dropping the liner. After that I started getting leaks.

What are you doing? I think my kanji’s overflows in heavy rain with the seal in its current state.

There are many sunroof leak threads on this forum if you search a bit. Below is a fix that I did on a couple of 80s.

What is that? The pan?
The part where all the water congregates before going into the drains.

Mine is cracked in this area.
