These cars come with super cushy suspensions, I want to firm things up as I lower the crap out of it. These cars run a pretty small diameter coil spring. I stumbled on some cheap toyota tacoma struts on marketplace. I'm gonna see how they do. I'm only in for $20.

Decided I'm not going to be running g a big enough cam for hydroboost. I picked up a camaro booster and master.

Booster is spaced away from the firewall enough to squeeze the clutch master in there.

Didn't get a chance to work on it this weekend, but I did see these pics on Facebook. They make want to go stupid low.

How stupid would it be to go with a 50's racecar vibe for the interior? ...minus the aluminum seats. My shifter isn't going to play nicely with the console and the dash plastic pieces need some repairs where previous owners did work and cracked stuff. I'm thinking about completely redoing the dash/trans tunnel/door panels.

I just made a deal on a LS6 intake. I was a little worried that I couldn't make the truck intake fit under the flat hood.

I have approx. 2" clearance between the hood and the front of the intake with my set up. With an LS3 intake. It has been a while, but I believe you will not be able to use the truck front drive assembly with the car style intake.

It takes some modification to use the truck stuff.

Any pictures of where your bellhousing sits in the tunnel? Where I had mine mocked up is tucked up into the body a couple of inches. Not sure I'm in the right spot. Hot rodder in me wants to put it lower and farther back.

Mine sits about 1.25" in front of the fire wall. I need to do a little work on the fire wall for that upper bolt to get in there. Any farther back and the tunnel would require work from the fire wall back. The shifter falls in a fair place for me in this location as well. A ton of room up front to the radiator.

That is close to where my last mockup was. I'm thinking a little further back might be wonderful. It would be so nice not to have stock steering.

I bolted the pan to the bellhousing and compared to your picture. I think I do need to go lower. This is going to be fun to try and pull off. I think part of it is having fully collapsed subframe mounts.

Looks like I need to relocate my crossmember forward of the current one and basically have a skid plate the spans the gap.

Not far from heading to pull a part and looking for a new front suspension.

All joking aside, I absolutely love this thread.
Keep the content coming so my dopamine cravings can be fulfilled.

Looks scary but it didn't move with my 230lbs on it with just a tiny bit of the structure there. When I plate in and scab over the original crossmember, it might be ok. I think I will have room to triangulate the back wall down low.
