Hey Mark, did I mention that's a nice pic?

I miss my Silver Cruiser and I'm gettin' all misty...:crybaby:

It's been almost two weeks.

Yes, the 5 speed looked new and the t-case did not. It was all bolted up and ready to go.
I have to go right past Ikes's shop today, I'll try and snap a few pictures. PM me off line, I might be interested in the 4 speed.

I-Mark

Thanks. As it should be (new 5 spd, old t-case...). They were just waiting on a new rear main seal (CCOT sent the wrong one...).

If it was all bolted together it sounds like my phone should be ringing any minute now!

Good looking truck BTW

Thanks. I guess the good news is it just over 100k on it and it's fairly clean. The bad news is, it makes it harder to justify an engine swap (to my wife, not myself...).

Randy, that said, I'm sure I'll find reason to avail myself of your services sometime!

Understandable. My wife would be the same way, That said anytime you need something give me a call...I think I need a shuttle service with everything mmw68 is sending me:eek:

Yeah, I think the tranny swap put me back a good year on anything that major (and there are the other vehicles...).

We are headed to Ft. Worth on the 30th for the Armed Service Bowl, so if you need anything shuttled-up from Austin, let me know...

Here is the pictures of the tranny cooler. I used a B&M cooler, that I bought from Summit racing. I don't have the part number handy, I'll look it up, and post it up later.

Normally the hard lines that cool the tranny run thru the lower section of the radiator.
Randy removed these and use high pressure hose that connects to AN fittings. Then they were run thru the B&M cooler. The lower section of the radiator is still available, maybe I'll use it to for a hot shower set up? I still need to do a little clean up, so the lines don't hang so low.

I asked my tranny guy what he thought, and he recommends not ever running tranny lines thru the bottom of the radiator, and always using a external cooler. He has seen too many radiator rust out, and then leak water into the tranny lines.

Today I went over to a buddies house, he is parting out a nice FJ60 if anyone needs parts.

The truck has not been inspected yet, so today I sanded and cleaned up a few parts, and put new windshield wipers on the truck. The horn is also not working...I'll have to check into that as well.

A few pictures:

SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

i like the rubber mat idea tho. u just buy a big sheet of rubber and cut it down i presume?

Rear hub cap is done...now I need to polish the wheel. :crybaby:

also how did you do the TEQ on the rear centercaps? they look good maybe i could draw that on my axle since i have no caps...

now if ya do the wheels you need to make the hubs match:doh:

Looks good mark. I took the chrome strip up from across the back, then ran my rubber mat under the strip and used longer screws to hold it down. When I spill watter or something back there it can run right out without making a mess.

Does Michele mind you blinging up that truck like that?

I went to Lowes and bought a $35 mat. It was a 4x6 foot roll. It's made to fit under a treadmill, or in a kitchen. It's very thick and dense. Used the carpet as a template.

I had some TEQ emblems left over from a old project. :)

Yeah - she has gotten into the cruiser thing, she was out in the garage helping me do the carpet install. We removed all the rear trim and cleaned out all the dog hair and mud/dirt that was back there - I should of taken a picture.... it was nasty. Michelle even brought out some c-tips and was cleaning out the rubber trim. Got to love a women who is into cruisers.

The next step is a carpet kit and some procar seats.

Poser shot of the three cruisers!

It is about time you got some work done on that clunker:grinpimp: Oh pulled that carpet down and it is complete. So if you want it...It is yours. Pay back for the rear carpet. It looks really good. So when are you going to polish those rims??? I bet even money you don't do it till next weekend. I have been in the garage as well but I can't post those pics here. BTW you are cruiser rich but I still don't see a Vortec in there!!!

got ya.

also if you wanna send me your addy i can get that firewall gromet your way.

Today was a sad day...I finished up the truck and gave it too Michelle. :frown:
I don't think Iam going to be driving it much... :D

On a happy note - with Randy's help Via phone support I figured out the trouble I was having with the timing, got the valves adjusted, and did a tune up - It's running like a 3FE hot rod!

I put a new TPS on as well, and tightened up the steering box. I think we are taking the truck on our first road trip this weekend. I would like to report on the MPG, but the speed cable melted, so if any one has a FJ62 cable - please PM me.

got the one in my 60 on ebay for 15 bux...

And I heared it passed the Texas Sniff Test like a new car!! Glad to hear you are out of the doghouse :bounce: I expect to see these cruisers running around Austin when I come down there REAL SOON!
