No problem Kurtis. Playing with shallow mount speakers is a PITA, I have a pair of JL Audio subs in the Dodge that hit hard as *&@!. So, I'll swap them out and compare the airspace to sound with same amp. Then build the enclosure to that approx size in my Dodge for the storage drawers. If that doesn't work to my liking I'll trash the shallow mounts for another pair of JL Audio 10s. :grinpimp:

Yea I've heard shallows are tough to get sounding nice. its an odd space to work with as well.
 
Back at it.. Got back from the Spring Break run... Cut Marley's rack down to fit in the garage...:rolleyes:

Anyhow here are the new pics.. Only cut it down an 1 1/2" Same look just shorter.

J what padding are you using. I was able to pick up a 4'x4'x1/4" sheet of polyboard from Lowe's last weekend for $11. Figure by my measurements that will be more than enough for both panels. And I have some 1/4" and 3/4" ply laying around that I can use to make backer rings for when I do my 6x9s.

Greg, run to Hancock fabrics or JoAnn's and get 1 yard of headliner material. It is about 1/8" thick and runs about 14.99 a yd.

A yd should measure 36" x 54" for that material.

Ok I will see what I can find.. We have JoAnn here but also a small, locally owned place that always seems to beat everyone. I got my grey marine vinyl, 2yards worth for less than $25 when we got it. No special sale or anything so hoping I can find the same when I go to get the padding and actually so these.

I like the density of the liner material. Just the right look after its covered too IMO.

Nice! Take some pics again with how you do it.. Which RF 6x9s did you go with? I am looking at the 3way Punch.
 
Nice... I was debating between the 3-way and the 4-way. I like grunge and really listen to more alternative/metal/hardrock than anything else. Figure that either one should suite those pretty well.
