Hoping you post up some pics of the hardtop and doors on, that is my next project too.

As far as under hood detailing-how did you get your wiring so great looking?

More pics to come by tomorrow, sorry. I unbraided my harness cleaned it really well with mineral spirits, simple green and a tooth brush. Than bought some new harness wrap from Coolerman and re-wrapped the whole thing. Came out like new-

Excellent & can't wait to see top on pics-getting ready for that with my '78 as well.

Here a couple of shots of the top and tub before I put the top down. Once again very surprised how clean this tub was... Also a shot of new oem weather-stripping

for the top...

Here is a side shot with the top on, will have to take it back off to mount the doors. Learned that after the fact :( Oh well Coolerman is making me a new harness for my new OEM dome light I'm getting through BENO, and will have to run that through the windshield frame anyways...
Also got my rubber pedal feet on.

Lots of great info and ideas - I've found that my son can help with sandblasting small parts, then we take them to a powder coater, and reassemble together ! Makes the old look like new again.

I really like the steering wheel and horn refresh ideas, and the pure silicone on the rubber, and....

I finished this little plate that covers the heater hoses pretty much like the other stuff...

Maybe I missed it but did you post up the brand/color of paint you used for these. The colors look like a perfect factory match and I would never be able to match it up that well.
Great build up thread. I have several pages bookmarked for reference myself. Side note are you happy with the seat covers I was thinking of ordering the same ones. From what I read they are the best aval. and do you think an upholster shop is a must for installing them?

Started putting my doors together, first are the rear ambi doors. Used a trick from Hindsight and used silicone to seal my new OEM lock, from the photos you can see how they come together. Used all new stainless hardware. @hindsight big thanks for your door thread!

Thanks! Color was Rustoleum cast iron, seat covers were great. I believe it would be easy to put on by yourself as long as you had hog ring pliers.

Sorry computer is down I should post the rest of by door build pics with weatherstrip install next week.

Can't wait to see door weatherstrip install pics.......................what a pristine rig and meticulous restoration work!!!!!!!!!
