Our Bylaws require an annual meeting and election of officers in October. This year the election is for VP (Todd Shirley) and Treasurer (Rob Theurer). In the recent past we held the meeting at the Cotton Land Cruiser Crawl at Gray Rock, AL. This year they moved the event to Hot Springs, AR and only 4 members attended. So we need an annual meeting, the question is where, Chattanooga, Nashville or somewhere in-between?
What do you all think?

Nominations are accepted at the meeting, by letter or e-mail.

Dues are due this month, $ 40, which includes SFWDA, UFWDA and TOHVA. Your continued support of these great organizations that are fighting to keep your trails open is essential. You can pay them at the meeting or mail them to: Roger Theurer, 2124 Walden Ridge Rd., Manchester, TN 37355

Im o.k. with Chatt. or Nash. or between. there are 2 places i know of in Monteagle that have a large room and sell .

Roger,
Any chance that it will be on a weekend? That may not help me with Melissa's schedule, but it can't hurt to ask. Plus, too bad it could not have been planned around some truck projects in your shop.

Thanks

By e-mail I have had one vote for Nashville and one for Chattanooga. How many of you all would be willing to meet at a place on Monteagle on a Saturday afternon? As for the shop, it is full of my 60 project and will be for sometime.

Roger,
It sounds like you put everyone to work on the 60 while they consider their votes. Thanks

Sorry about the delay in making a decision, the Tellico closure is on the front burner and I have too much going on to meet this month. How does Saturday afternoon Nov. 21 at a place on Monteagle sound to you all?

No soccer games or tournaments currently on Melissa's schedule for the 21st, so at this moment it is a good date with me. Would this be an evening meeting or an afternoon? Also, could it be like previous annual meetings at Tellico that combined trails and voting?

[QUOTE could it be like previous annual meetings at Tellico that combined trails and voting?[/QUOTE] i like the way he's thinking. If we get to Mounteagle in the morning we could do a 1/2 to 3/4 day run into the cove then maybe dinner and meeting back in town.

Sounds good to me, where do you want to have the meeting?

Is there an option other than the Smoke House?

Assuming no rain outs get scheduled to that weekend, would there be a good-safe location that I could leave the trailer and road tires while we in the woods? Thanks

There's High Point, food is good but a little pricey. Beer selection is good or at least it was last time i was there.(haven't been since they started this damn recession). Also a bunch of dirty off-roaders will stick out like a sore thumb in that place. There is also a Mexican place and an italian joint. Anyone who needs to can leave trailers at my shop in jasper its about 30 min. south of Mounteagle.

I'd vote for High Point as well, its a great rest, but an entree will run 20-30 bucks. If people are ok with that I'm cool, I love that place.

High Point Restaurant

If people don't want to spend that much, anything else is fine with me. I hope to be bringing a new member who just bought a 82 FJ40 out of CO. He's a rep for some stuff we use in surgery and an all around cool dude.

STLCA Annual Meeting and Election of Officers will be Nov. 21, 2009 in Tracy City/ Monteagle area.
Trail ride at 10 AM central time , meeting will be at 6 PM. meeting location TBA.

I will check out trailer parking and meeting places, the High Point is a little pricey.

I better get my oil leak fixed.

Perfection is not required. Maybe try duct taping a diaper on to catch any run-off, but get your truck there to show off your progress.

This coming from me when I miss event after event due to being a soccer 'parent'.
