What is that tool?
I wouldn't put much effort into it. The level of corrosion locking up many of these screws will laugh at that tool. If it is clean, oiled threads per the video, sure.. but for us this won't do much.

Thank you sir!
Hi i read you article regarding KDSS and find it very informative, i have a question regarding my KDSS my front seems very stiff which rides like a hydrolock compared to the rear. both shocks are new, UCA and LCA is OK, open and closed the 2 allen screws properly max of 3 turns.

This document that I've found for AHC also has some good info for KDSS. Might as well link it here - http://gershon.ucoz.com/TOYOTA/landcruiser200/AHCS/m_ch_0114.pdf

I don’t see how KDSS could be responsible for your problem. It should only control or allow body roll, not really impact overall shock/spring feel.

is there a chance for it to get stuck and limit the compression and rebound?

No, all it does is control whether the sway bars are enabled or disabled, meaning whether the left and right tires are connected in movement. It can't impact how the whole front of the vehicle moves up/down, as in compression or rebound.

Awesome info @bloc and @TeCKis300

Thanks for sharing.

Hey all. I’ve been reading technical posts relating to the LC200 KDSS system and pump. However, I haven’t read anything about the new KDSS pump part number and the new part missing the sensor. I’ve attached pictures for context.

Have any of you heard of the part number change and missing sensor?

It’s all in the very first post.

Thanks for the reference - it’s a very good technical read.

I wonder of anyone has installed a new pump without the sensor and had issues with the system warning lights? I have the new pump, but would prefer not to install it (and spend the money to recharge the system) if the missing sensor causes issues.

Just to sort out some terminology the part isn’t a pump, it’s the valve/accumulator assembly. Generally on this board we call it the “KDSS valve”.

Based on the timing the guy that sent me his valve (with sensor) to cut up must have had a new non-sensor valve installed, and I didn’t hear about issues. That was a dealer job though, so maybe there was a procedure I don’t know about. You could try messaging him, his name is in the thanks in the original post.

Wow, this is awesome, great info here. I've got the lean and can't seem to fix it so, I'm gonna keep digging but wanted to give kudos for the time spent in putting this together. Thanks OP
