@UnderDawg you might have better luck if you set up a yahoo email account and figure out how to make wire transfers from a bank in Japan. I think it can be done through Japan National Bank online, but I might be wrong. Sellers in Japan are very weary of online transactions with people overseas.
Group investment? Die cast plastic grill and headlight trim, oe headlamp mounts? Could be done with original corner markers?
Yeah, some guy in Japan also figured out how to build the entire vehicle better than us....ok, so, some guy in Japan figured out how to put 60 parts on the front of an 80.
If that guy could figure it out, why can't we? How hard can it be?
I think you are missing the point here... reason why they put on FJ60's roundlights and not FJC lights.. its cause one is got that timeless look and the other does not......And if we're switching to round lights, why not use the lights from FJC?

No, I get the point, the style of the 60 is better than the FJC.
However, I don't understand using old technology when something newer is available and better for safety.
In this case, the 60 and FJC both use round headlamp units. They are approximately the same size. Close enough in size that if the FJC lights can fit, I'd rather have them because the light output is better. If the FJC headlamps can fit in the 60 bezels, I think it is a better idea.
If the entire vehicle is better, why are we talking about modifying it at all? Why does anyone lift their truck, or change the stereo, or add driving lights, spacers, etc...
I'm just saying some guy in a body shop in Japan figured out how to make this work. What makes him better than anyone here? We don't need to import anything. Someone just needs to go out to their garage and do it. TreeRoot made an awesome grille and added louvers to his hood and didn't have to import anything. He just did it.
If someone has some spare time(a valuable commodity these days) it won't be so bad. It isn't rocket science. Hell, these parts were designed with paper drawings and a clay model. I'm more than willing to help brainstorm some ideas on how to execute this and make a mock-up. If I had more time, I'd do it myself.
