I don't think Wit's End has had the bracket in stock for a long time.

Mr @landtank is selling kit. Similar idea, but uses a different alternator.

There may be, tho unlikely, members willing to sell their brackets.

I was able to mount the high-output aftermarket alternator I bought, but it required quite a bit of material to be removed from the bracket the has the curved slot that lets the alternator swing. Another solution (and maybe stronger) would be if I could move the pivot point bracket on the engine up a small amount -- anyone have the part number for that bracket -- I can't find it.

what I had to do to the lower bracket to make things fit -- stock bracket and modified one. Ignore the extra hole -- that was for an earlier experiment. I am hoping the modified bracket will still be strong enough.

Hi - @bmegdal, How did this work out for you? You still feel good about the bracket mod or would you do anything different?
It's time to replace my alt. and imma upgrade to a higher amp.
Which alt did you install?
