For all practical purposes its a 130A product. Peaks at 180A near redline.

This particular alternator - after actually reading the details in the test, would never make it to my truck. I'd send it back. 15.24 volts will boil a wet cell battery in no time, and destroy an AGM in months if not weeks.

The 130A alternator with a 14.2 volt output is actually AGM compliant.

Weight? There is no weight difference between 100A and 130A.

Pulled the alternator on 19OCT and went with a REMAN 130 amp earmarked for the Tacoma w/trailer towing option. I went with the local AutoZone for less than the price of the 100 amp FJ replacement... As mentioned by @Matti- there is no weight difference and it went right in after some messaging... Wow, the YODA engineers and mechanics must all have very small hands and long skinny but muscular arms to get into the tight spots for bracket R&Rs. My old fat hands and Popeye forearms took a beating... :p

Cheers mates,
G
