My 2000 LX 470 has 188,000 miles on it. I have a starting issue that I am trying to track down before I start throwing money at it with out reason and to be honest I am becoming a little defeated. I bought this with the intention of trail driving but I am a little scared to take it too far because I do not want to become stranded with a starting issue.

Every couple of weeks the issue pops up. I turn the key, the engine starts to turn over, then it quits. I do not lose electrical power. It feels as if there is not any voltage being delivered to the starter. I have found that if I...

Your kids could be professional namers! "Alexis" was one of the names presented to the Toyota marketing execs. After some discussion, rumor has it, one of Toyota's marketing execs asked "What if we drop the "A"... just "Lexis"? The "i" was swapped with a "u" to further distance the name from "LexisNexis" and Lexus was born.
 
After my suspension, wheels, and tires, I developed a front end vibration. I narrowed it down to my front drive shaft. It’s all in this thread…

Thread 'SOLVED!-Mid frequency vibration during acceleration'

I just had an Ironman foam cell pro suspension lift installed along with Dobinsons UCA, FN wheels, and Falken Wildpeak 285/70/r17 tires.

I am experiencing a mid-high frequency vibration during acceleration and slightly during coasting. It occurrs between 55-70 mph, and between 2000-2400 rpms. It almost disappeares if I let off the gas pedal completely. It is slightly lessened in a turn on freeways. Outside of these ranges it is smooth. However it is less smooth at the top range of these values.

I do not feel it in my steering wheel at all and turning is smooth. As it should be because...

I’m currently looking to get new u joint, and a proper balance.
