Driving her all the way there!
I've taken her out a few times on trips exceeding 400 miles a day to make sure she is fit.
Its going to be a tiring trip up. :D

Are you camping on the way up or moteling it? I'd be interested in your thoughts on camp locations or a web site showing locations on the way up. I will definately be going through Calgary on the way. It's crunch time for me. Leave in 4 weeks. I need to stop by Slee's on the way up and get some 4inch heavies on the rear. The mediums I have is not hacking it with this load. I would feel alot better about this trip if Mark would chime in and update us..

x2 on mark.

We are also camping on the way up. We picked up an 08 copy of he Milepost. It lists a lot of good spots and is worth the $30. We got ours online at 2008 Milepost: MCCMagazines Store

I just finished rebuilding front and rear axles and got my OME add-a-leaf for extra heavy in. Made a big difference on this weekends outing. The tire carrier also worked great but I still need to address fuel storage/rack, install the OB shower and the fridge...

Mark mentioned
he will post up tonight or tomorrow night at the latest.

Patrick
Alot of us are investing money and time getting ready for the Trek, could you please ask Mark again to post up, does not to be alot of info just a few encourging words.

I am planning to camp all the way up!
So far as planned with my swamper, we will drive to Dawson Creek BC the first day (July 3rd) and camp there. Day 2 (July 4th) we will drive to Muncho Lake BC and stay probably 2 nights. Then on Day 4 (July 6th) we will try and make it to Whitehorse YK and stay at my swampers' aunt/uncle's house to rest and canoe. We will stay most likely a few days until July 9th. Then we will spend a night at Haines Junction YK (July 10th). If all goes well i should be in Tok AK on July 11th the latest. I found campsite symbols on my CAA / AAA Alaska map, and with the advice of others to visit those spots that we are camping at.

I am patiently waiting for my diff back complete with an ARB locker. Otherwise i still need to set up an onboard air system & waiting for my Kaymar tire rack from Australia:doh:. Otherwise I should be all done by June 20th to allow me to make sure everything works well!

& i found a 1977 FJ45 that i may purchase in the next 2 weeks. This summer is expensive !

hat sounds like a good trip! We are going over our route tonight so hopefully in the next couple of days we will have a more def plan on where we are staying/camping and how many miles a day we hope to do..

I am starting to loath working on the truck. I can't wait until we are on the road!

My check still hasn't been cashed. Per Mark at the time I was the first one to put in. He has not returned my emails. If we don't here anything this week I am going to leave a week later and do my own Alaskan adventure with my daughter. I was hoping to have a list with each other names and cell phone numbers to make contact on the road. Any ideas on how to make this happen? Should we do this via the Mud Forum or through personal emails and send a word doc to each other? I am willing to make this happen..

Mark.. we love you.. Please call, yell, email, smoke signals, etc

We will be close to each other on occasion. I will be going through Chicken on the way instead of Haines Junction. Not staying with my Swamper though, I'll be staying with my Mud Terrains

Anyone heading through Fort St. John that needs a place to crash or just wash up can stop by my place. Or even if you just need a hand locating something in town. Same applies to any of my shop or tools which hopefully no one will need during their travel along the highway. Just send me a PM.
Cheers,
Deny

While we are talking about the contact list, what is the AT&T cell coverage like in Canada, I can only find coverage maps for US, Tok appears to have good coverage.
