Alarm, locks, ignition kill... Where to start?

my 97 LX450 came with one key and no fob or alarm buttons on the key. The key activates the power locks when turned.

I want to find out what's been done to the alarm, if it still has an alarm and how I might enable it. ...or why I might not want to.

I hear the alarm box is under the driver seat.

Beyond that, where do I start ?

Really pretty easy if you have the stock alarm. Look under the seat, if it's there, order the key fobs from the internet, and the directions to program them are on here. if it's an aftermarket alarm, good luck! Lol
