how were the bugs? I love trips north this time of year.

we used to drive up the Graham road and camp on this beach, fly in guys got really angry so they dug up the roads... that did not stop us either so then they closed the area to motorized vehicles, except for planes.

Day two woke up to 20F and frost.

Then off to the border crossing on the top of the world hwy. Closes Labor Day

On to Dawson

Start of the Dempster hwy. It’s about 26mi east of Dawson. Shortly after starting on the Dempster I got a big rock on the windshield hardly got anything else on the windshield for the rest of the trip I

This was one of the worst road surfaces. 20mph was still way too fast. Sections of pot holes and washboard were terrible, my fancy shocks didn’t do anything for these

Second river crossing. Peel river, electric ferry using a cable to move back and forth.

Tuktoyaktuk. It rained and blew pretty good for most of the night.

Next morning rain and wind was done. A sod hut. No signs where around explaining anything so I am guessing the other wood structure is the foundation for building a sod hut
