If you look at the hill in the distance you can see the upper trail up that, it’s called Mt. Marathon. Every July 4th people race up it

Couple of spots in/around Hope are among our favorites for camping due to how close they are to Anchorage.

We like camping at the Resurrection Trail head and Palmer Creek Road which ends in a bowl, used to be gold mining camps in the bowl.
