Last Friday we got a break from the rain, forecast was to stay dry through Saturday, so we packed up and met friends at the Resurrection Trail trail head just outside of Hope. By the time we got there the forecast changed to light/moderate rain Friday night into Sunday night. So we did a quick drive up Palmer creek road .

Sunday when we got ready to leave for home, found water in the passenger foot well below the cabin fan😕
So today I removed the fan and fan box, the boot cowl cover.
I suspect the source of water leak in moderate rain is due to the differences between the RHD and LHD boot cowl area is that converting to LHD the oblong hole on top ends right above the inside lip of the debris stopper above the cabin air intake. So with enough rain water can fall into the cabin air intake. Hopefully the pictures make sense.

Thanks for the nice fall pics. Makes me home sick a bit. I ended up not going to Anchorage this summer as planned due to medical stuff but will be driving to Hyder Ak. Next week to do some Silver fishing. I guess that counts.

Trying to decide what hike to do, climb mount Hope or hike to Gull rock. Asked some friends for their recommendations and they suggested climbing Point Hope, great views and less chances of running into bears. So we decided the Point Hope. Ugg, should have thought that one over better considering our condition. Peak is about 3773ft and the trail is 4.26mi. Took us about 7:30hrs round trip. Coming down took longer than climbing due to my knees, they don’t like long downhills 😕
And almost right at the beginning we encountered a mama black bear with two cubs about 12ft off the trail. She wasn’t interested in moving after us waiting for about 20min so we backtracked a short way and took a section of the old trail up back to the new trail bypassing the mama black bear. Anyway, it was a hard trip for both of us, my wife didn’t go all the way. But the great weather made for some spectacular views.
