Camped at Fielding Lake campground, a bit of a disappointment as to the facilities, but views were still nice.

The next day stopped in at a flat area near the Richardson Hwy memorial where there is a side trail heading east into the mountains. Lots of flat and open spots for parking. At the end of the trail you can hike to the Gulkana Glacier. About 2mi. from where we parked. We got about a little less than a 1/4mi from it. There was a river before it that might have been a bit more work to cross dry.

Now have to come up with some place for our vacation next year
10 Annual 70 Series Meet & Greet / ALS Charity Ride …. September 2025. 😁

After spending time cleaning and greasing up everything underneath, the damage count looks to be one new chip in the windshield and the hood visor(proper terminology?) also got hit by what must have been a pretty good size rock. And multiple paint chips. Anyone have a good visor/shield thing laying around from the last group buy that isn’t using theirs and wouldn’t mind selling it to me?
Also noticed how much the lock nut on the drag link bar was interfering with the tie rod , enough that it is cutting a groove into the tie rod. Gonna have to come up with a solution.

Spent the day swapping the front springs around and I had a spare tie rod so swapped it out. Tomorrow will double check the front end alignment according to the FSM. Here’s the damage done from the lack of clearance due to swapping the front springs around to move the front spring forward one inch.

The passenger outside door handle has always been somewhat difficult to open. After returning from our recent trip the driver’s side outside door handle was starting to do the same. So I figured now was a good time to see if there is some way to adjust something to make those handles work properly. By adjusting the link to the handle you can adjust this. Now both doors open properly from the outside.

Did anyone actually grill on this?
