Well I learned the hard way. Do it yourself and your bound to screw something up. I was taking apart the 78 Aisan carb and was cleaning out the secondary slow jet and managed to poke out the jet itself somewhere on the floor. Not only that but I used compressed air to clean out the bolt for the fuel return banjo fitting. I noticed it has a little rubber inner part that I think I might have damaged.

Toyota of course discontinued these parts.

Does anyone have these parts they could sell to me?

Pm me if you do.

If you could use an exploded diagram from SOR or something I am sure I have what you need....

I took my aisan apart and... well it never went back together properly:o. It was from my 78 FJ40.

Let me know.

That little rubber thing you can see via the return line opening should have a brass screen on top. It attaches to the top of the float needle assembly and is the last attempt to prevent crap from getting in the carb from the fuel delivery system.

FYI

I will check today and let you know if the parts you need are in good shape.

sorry for the delay I went out there to find the carb last night in the dark and my drop light burned out. Couldn't see a thing.

I will look this afternoon.

I will keep looking.

I have no idea where that carburetor is but I know I had it three weeks ago....

Honestly it should have been in a bucket under my carport but it is not.

It might have been stolen but I don't know who would steal a disassembled aisin carb:confused:.

I will check to see if anything else is missing and if not I will continue the hunt for the magical disappearing carburetor.
