I wanted to put all of this information in one place and add the FJ25 specific information with everyone's help.

The float is 21209-60010 and still available.

DO NOT dip the entire carb to get the glass window off. The Aisan window is blue on the early ones and the carb dip will strip that off. I have seen gray ones that appear to be stock as well as ones without a plate.

One thing I have learned is that there is a metering jet that in not included in any of the kits. There are two different styles of the large site glass carbs. The kit will only match one of these and I haven't figured out if it is the early style or the later style. Either way the kit will have most of the parts needed but not all.

Another outstanding contribution to the forum. You da man, Root!

Question, what solvent/chemical or method would you use to clean old gasoline residue stuck to the Aisan blue plate without removing the paint?

Gasoline/diesel followed by soap and water seems to work well. The tricky part is getting the old glass off if the rubber gasket has bonded to it.
