Air Intake Hose?

You might check out this thread from ClubLexus. Some 1UZ/3UZ guys (including myself) manufactured our own intake tubes. Performance? Maybe, but a fairly cost-effective replacement. Mine was only $36.

Cool. Do the throttle body and air filter housing specs stay the same between the 1UZ/3UZ's and the 2UZ?

Can't say for sure with the air filter housing, but I'm fairly sure the throttle bodies are the same. I suspect the 1UZ VVTi TB is even the same basic part as the early 2UZ.

Recently changed my Air intake hose, no way to improve performance with actual hose. However the K&N air filter does allow for a lot more air through.
You do not need a custom box just the filter made for 100 series.
Other parts you can change: PCV valve/grommet/PCV hose completely. I felt really impoved idle revs. This is a complete job
After this put 2x lots of Fuel injector cleaner through both tanks on a long trip will get rid of that old 'dead spot' on the accelerator pedal.
If your fuel filter is old, I suggest doing that before you run the injector cleaner through it.

Does this K&N increase space in the engine bay towards the firewall?
