So I bought a refurbished OEM steering wheel but never have been a fan of a 20+ yo airbag in my face as I drive.

So that lead me down a rabbit hole while down with a bad pain and on pain killers.

I started off with buying an adapter that worked but lost cruise control. I have never really liked the cruise control on my 99 but after I lost it I wanted it back.

So I found the BOSS OT-226 it solved my problems. It took maybe 2 weeks out of Japan and was $112 from Neguen.

Pic with MOMO wheel 350 mm is the old adapter.

It maybe an inch closer to steering column but just adjusted my seat a hair and still a very comfortable steering position.

I like it reminds me of old sports car days.

Also once you removed the air bag out, does it throw on any lights on the cluster? Thank you. I'm planning to the same setup as yours. Looks so good 😊

Hi thank you again for the help last time. So I finally got all the parts from eBay. OT-202. I feel like it's missing something. How to did you figure out steering wheel clock spring part? There is nothing from the after market hub to engage the turn, when you turn the steering wheel. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you.

On my mr2, I made a bracket that gets sandwiched between the wheel and boss that holds the original cruise stalk. I imagine something similar would work for the LC stalk if you wanted to keep using that.

Yesterday I drove without anything turning the steering wheel clock and my oh my....I couldn't even make a tight turn without the beep from hell and the front wheel locking like a moto. it's like the car thinks it was driving on snow or something. Scared the s*** out of me 😂

@mikemat the first picture is the original back of the factory steering wheel. It has the "wings/tabs" that slide into the wheel clock. The aftermarket hub that I got, doesn't even comes with anything remotely close to fit in the wheel clock
@Bomar Which leads to the 2nd pictures. I have no idea if this is going to work but I'm going to give it a shot.
