Here's my setup with the cheap Amazon terminals mentioned way back by the original poster. Still seems a bit messy, but better than before.

I've had these for over a year and have held up well, but the fit to the battery terminals is not great.

Anyone know of a good cover/flap that can be cut to a custom shape? I maybe know a guy who shorted out a battery with a wrench one time.

Hey! If you're still interested, I just finished the my design for covers for these terminals (working with @ClassyJalopy). See photos below! It comes covering everything, however, it has slits in it to make it super easy to trim whatever openings you need:

Like my other cover designs, it's meant to be held in place on the terminal via a ziptie:

Here you can see how it 'hooks' around the perimeter underneath:

It 'flaps' open nicely to let you access the terminal:

And here is a better shot of the premade 'slits' that go down the sides and the front. This material is tough/flexible, but cuts nicely with a sharp utility knife or sidecutters:

Positive cover alone is $25 shipped to your door, or positive + negative set (negative printed in black) is $40.

Andy is very gracious to call it "working" with me :D. He is doing all the work and I am merely buying these. Solid dude!

We have redesigned the covers and they will be going into production. The previous version became to expensive to produce and have a viable product to sell. We will have both positive and negative terminal covers.
Any updates on when they’ll be available?
