Rapovt- Thanks for the question. The large main zippered pouch was designed to carry soft items, such as: utility mat, service manual, rags, gloves, misc. paperwork, etc. It doesn't have any dividers in it. This was done so irregular items can be shifted around so that the ShopRoll would roll up uniformly. The pouch does contain a small pocket that contains a "busted knuckle" band aid/antiseptic wipe kit for those minor cuts and scrapes that seems to come with field repairs. (At least for me they do!) Hope this answered your question. Also, I'll get some additional interior pics up on the website!

Note: the pocket is 15 inches tall by 25 inches wide.

Those detailed pics and measurements are great. I'd love to see info like that on all the compartments/pockets and I'd also enjoy seeing your actual layout in detail of what you carry and why. If you can... :D Thanks!

Will do.

Thanks!

Happy Holodays!

The wife got me a tool roll for our Hundy. It was the gift I was most excited about. The smell reminds me of being in the Army in the late 80s! So well made and a great presentation. Thanks for making something America can be proud of!
Too bad the small business store front is hidden back here. I bet you guys could sell more of these than you could make if it was in a more frequented part of the forum. So noice.

Mmmmm....the smell of waxed canvas in the morning!

Can you imagine the millions of soldiers over the past 8 decades that have said the same thing?

Seriously, the waxed canvas we use is the exact canvas, made by the same US company, that was used by the US Military up unto they recently replaced it with synthetic materials. The 350 lb rolls of canvas we receive are newly treated and in some cases the wax treatment is still damp when they are cut and sewn. Once the products have time to air out and age the smell will dissipate. The great thing about this type of treated canvas is the waxed treatment can be reapplied in the future to renew the appearance/ weather resistance or it can be left to attain a beautiful aged patina look. Treated nylon doesn't necessarily age and/or patina nicely, and one of the problems with nylon is once the coating and/or backing wears out it can't be retreated and it loses its weather resistance.

Thanks again and please let me know if you have any other questions!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Paul

My son opened his packages yesterday. TOP NOTCH quality, for sure, and your assitance with purchasing was stellar.

Thanks Paul and Amy, I will be recommending your products to all my friends.

Thanks Paul, the roll and several zip pouches will be gracing my HDJ45. No need to have tools and miscellaneous crap ;) rattling around in a toolbox, when you can have them in a much better roll. These were the only items on my Christmas list, and :santa: delivered. Top notch goodies without a doubt. Need to descend to the downstairs today and find some of the vintage tools left to me by my Grandfather to fill all those pockets.

I have an idea for the expo and camping crowd, which I will PM you.

Steve

P.S. Love the smell of the canvas too!

ATC ShopRoll Featured in Petersen's 4Wheel & Off-Road

[FONT=&quot]So much fun! Adventure Tool Company now has its first inclusion in a national print magazine. Paul has been reading Petersen’s 4Wheel & Off-Road magazine for many years, and just yesterday received the March 2014 issue in the mail. He was flipping through it, as he is wont to do, while sipping a particularly nice pale ale. And there, lo and behold, on the first page of the New Products section, were a description and photo of the ATC ShopRoll. Many thanks to Petersen’s and its gurus Rick Pewe and Tom Morr for including us. Happy New Year!

New products: Canvas utility tarps

These tarps have a thousand and one uses. Made in Colorado, U.S.A. of heavy waxed canvas and MILSPEC components, sewn with high-tensile nylon thread, they’ll take a beating and keep on working. Heavy and durable, they will perform any task that a plastic tarp can, but won’t tear, crumple, or flap excessively in the wind. And canvas, unlike plastic, only becomes better and more supple with age. The webbed loops allow for endless configurations, whether you’re using rope, carbineers, or zip ties. And, what we think is good fun, each tarp is sewn to order by Paul himself (CEO of ATC) on his vintage Rex sewing machine.

A thousand and one uses, as mentioned. We can’t list them all, but will provide a few examples. For trailside repairs, the tarps protect a fender or bumper without scratching, or provide ground cover when you’re crawling beneath the engine. (The medium tarp, when folded into quarters, fits perfectly in the main pocket of the ShopRoll.) The tarps also make great ground covers in general, protecting against moisture and muck, laid beneath a tent, sleeping bag, picnic lunch, or what have you. And overhead, too, they have their uses, as sun shades, rain shields, or temporary tops for open-air rigs. They can be laid across seats or truck beds or trunks for protection, or over top of your gear to batten it all down. They can be used to haul firewood or large parts, or, arranged in a cocoon, as a camp bed for your dog. They can also be used…. well, you get the idea. The possibilities are endless. And with a lifetime warranty included, you can try them all.

Very cool product. What would be even cooler would be "on his vintage Toyota sewing machine" ;) I'll be ordering a couple in the very near future. Very nice Paul.

LOL....

When I was looking at machines to replace my old Brother machine, I looked at several Toyota commercial machines on ebay, but I wasn't comfortable trying to ship a 50-60 lb sewing machine across the country. They are cool machines!
