Yeah they changed strategies over the years as the beam cutoff got more and more sharp. My 2013 (all 13-15s I think) have a knob on the dash to adjust manually for more or less load in the cargo area. @ryanCA can probably tell us whether his earlier model originally equipped with halogens even has the knob.. from memory they didn’t but I’m not sure.

Sorry about that. I didn't see any vehicle listed in your signature and made an assumption based on your Lexus photo.

We had an 08 briefly. Those headlights were adjusted like the 100 series. Six turns would be equal to something like 3/16 of an inch with the vehicle level and frontend 16 ft from a wall.

The rod in mine is sorta of a PITA. Plus even with my 6112's on the lowest perch I had to get the Weber carb linkage rod to swap in to get the headlights where they needed to be

Is there a way to make them higher from the engine bay? Because the knob doesn’t seem to go high enough on the highest setting.

@bloc Mine has two screws that you hav to get to engine bay to move headlight. It is a pain in the butt on my 08

It took me an hour to adjust, now they are way too low
