I'm thinking about buying this 1983 BJ60. 1983 toyota land cruiser diesel for sale by owner - Houston, TX - craigslist - https://houston.craigslist.org/cto/d/houston-1983-toyota-land-cruiser-turbo/7718313731.html

Living in Houston, I need A/C to survive and it does not have it. I can't find a whole retrofit kit and wonder if my only choice is to scrounge up all of the OEM parts and put it together. I'm pretty handy and could do things like make compressor brackets from scratch if I had to. I'm hoping that y'all can give me some advice about this. Thanks in advance.

I wouldn’t worry about the A/C until you get that frame sorted out.

Yes, AC can be added- it’s been done before.

Time money needs to be spent looking at the frame, and how much lipstick is on that pig.
