Thanks for posting the pictures, they'll help i.d. it all whenever I get around to doing this...

This is on my agenda. I really appreciate this thread with photos. Just a question that hasn't come up. What size rubber line is that? I have some 12mm fuel line and wanted to know if that would work there. I can't tell if it might be smaller than that.

And since cold weather wear came up, then perhaps mine is not in as bad a shape since it came from a desert island. It was probably never used until the last year when I brought it to Georgia. I am not familiar with the mechanism. It is something that would wear according to use in colder temps? Therefore in warmer climates it might be in better condition?

3/8 or 10mm would be a better fit but I'm sure 12mm would still work if clamped securely.

Betting in warm climates that the thermo wax found in you ACSD will hardly if at all alter timing for start up. I have two diesels without the ACSD, never been retimed, on cold days like well below freezing i just add fuel by the skinny pedal.
This is not Rocket Appliances!

I agree. I am not worried about needing the ACSD here but I do get around in the winter. I just wanted to know if it would be less of an issue since it has probably never been needed in the trucks life living most of the time in the desert. Not that I am waiting any longer regardless. That thing is out like a rotten tooth. Parts are already on order.
