Some punk in a lowered Taco side-swiped me today. After he hit me an came across my bow, we hit nose to tail. I did get some white paint on the MT bumper, but other than that all is good. He definitely came away with a little damage :D The wife says she can't notice any difference in the 80.

Your damage looks like trail rock rash! Taco has some good imprints of your 35's! :D Glad you and truck are ok. What did the Taco do, wander into your lane while texting?

Taco against an 80 is no contest, especially with armor. Here is one that rear ended me a few years ago.

Glad you and the 80 are ok.

Mark, glad you escaped relatively unscathed. It's always a bummer getting in a collision.

I was rear-ended a few months ago by a ford ranger going maybe 10mph. He hit the basket carrier, bending the spindle and pushing the basket into the rear hatch and tailgate. The front of his truck looked about like the taco that Dan posted. 80s are tough, but not impervious.

Sounds similar to a rear ender I was in a few years back. MBZ SUV rear ended a 100 series pretty fast and the hundy hit me. Tire carrier and latch were bent and it appeared like the spindle was as well. Tire carrier flexed into the hatch of my 80 denting it a little. MBZ insurance replaced it all and fixed the hatch. Hundy was worse for the wear hitting my Kaymar steel unfortunately.

Thanks guys.
I talked to the adjuster today and they blame the kid and I'm not putting in a claim so everything is toodle pip. That's the easiest accident/insurance I've gone through. Done the day after :bounce::bounce2:
