Ok @bloc that helps me understand where you are coming from. I haven’t seen what you are describing, but I am going to be on the lookout in the coming days to see if I observe the same.
I realize this is a tangent from the OP, but I do wonder how much of this back and forth with @bloc on RainX is a result of the VERY significant differences in washer fluids. Maybe they all work differently with the nano technology of products like RainX?

Regionally. Some washer fluids have zero alcohol because sun zero temperatures are not a thing.

I'm going to drop another windshield/glass treatment option: Gtechniq G4/G5. When properly applied/cared for, this stuff will last a LONG time. I see some "streaks" that are transient when rainfall isn't that drastic. When the downpours come, this stuff has most definitely help keep me more aware what's happening around me given the speed of water disappearing from all my glass.

I hadn’t considered that.. good point.

The stuff I use most of the year isn’t rated for freezing, as a data point. Not sure what part of the year I last used rainx, it has been a good long while.

Elitists.

I prefer ammonia based gas station fluid and squeegees. The concentrated caffeine additive in piss is probably what makes it so effective.

Fair enough. Possibly the random atmospheric fallout too helps with the chem-stripping of contaminants too.

Which flavor are you guys doing? Orange is ok, blueberry is a classic. That green minty one is a nice change, and that yellow lemonade style is really something on hot summer days.

Center console fridge 😉, easily accessible fire extinguisher, couple good podcasts and maybe an audio book. Some good upbeat tunes for when your book starts to get you sleepy. Caffeine vitamin water and other drinks healthier than the typical soda.

-Small Cooler, since you are cool boxless.
-A good audio book downloaded
-Sunflower Seeds
-Seat Jackers (I hope they help, haven’t installed mine)
-
-I always carry a bucket of car wash supplies, it gives me something to do in the mornings when the rest of the family is getting ready plus I hate dirty cars and hate even more, bug covered windshields and front ends!!!

Probably too late, but an LRA tank is a good addition for next time and longer trips. Probably a good idea to switch the cashback on your CC to fuel!

Put 21,000 miles on my 20’ HE, consisted of a Western’s 6800 mile trip in Summer 2020 and a Western 7600 mile trip in 2021’! With the exception of average at best front seats and lass than average fuel economy, they are a highway eating machines!

I just installed these and feels less pressure under your quads, if that makes sense.
Yes it does and that is great to hear, that is where the stock seats inflict the most pain!

Looking forward to getting mine installed before my next long drive!

It took 5 mins. Unscrew both bolts in the back of the seat, apply forward pressure to the top of the seat to lift rear, slide in spacers and use bolts provided from them.

Ha! That is good to know, I haven’t opened them yet.

I should have said, getting to them on my project list, I am waiting on a custom cargo platform to be finished so I can install that and am changing the rear springs and a couple other items. I thought I would knock them all out when the 200 is in the work side of the garage!

Update on the RainX streaking issue that @bloc mentioned. I recently noticed streaking and decreased visibility during rain on my windshield treated with RainX on my pickup truck. I had a frustrating hour long night drive home in heavy rain that motivated me to do something about it quickly. The windshield and wiper blades had a greasy dirty feel to them, like they had been splashed with an oily puddle.

I gave the windshield two cleanings with traditional ammonia based windex. More importantly, I cleaned the windshield wiper blades with the same windex and removed a lot of black residue getting them squeaky clean. I then re-applied two applications of RainX and my visibility is restored and is streak free in the rain!
