Hey all, wondering if anyone else has had this. On cold mornings I can hear my brake pump churning and after about 5 minutes of driving the ABS light and sound alarm come on. Drives fine and breaks work but the alarm is annoying. It goes of after things warm up in about 15-20 minutes. I have a 2000 LC with 254k miles. thanks.

Several recent threads about this. The ABS pump motor is known to fail right around your mileage. I bought the parts to fix it on my last truck and ended up totaling it before install. Just sold the parts to another member this week going through the same thing. Can be fixed relatively cheap. I had about $400 in parts not including a $75 core return from the rebuilt pump vendor (which I didn't get due to the wreck) and a MC rebuild kit that I was going to do 'while I was in there'.

The standard suggestion is not to drive the truck until that is repaired. IIRC, it will not always show a code in the scanner.

Flush the system and see if it keeps happening. If it does, buy a rebuild pump
