Abandon Vehicle Notice

*******************NOTICE********NOTICE***************
The following vehicle has benn abandoned at my shop for 60 Days:
Red 1980 Toyota Land Cruiser serial number FJ-40-322XXX
In accordance with shop rules it is now considered spare parts, even though rumor has it that it only needs 4 knuckle studs replaced and the tires aired up to be drivable. Any club member wanting parts post up, note Clutchee has already claimed the front knuckles.

I have had some experience parting out a truck. Maybe we could have someone haul it to my house.

Ya know, come to think of it - I will take the spring over axles as well.

Or maybe we can find a buyer in Chattanooga. I will call a guy who works at the neighborhood hospital and see if he is interested

I've been meaning to get up there, and looks as though I'll be there either the friday after x-mas or Sat or both...

Just gotta get the studs and figure out the Drill and tap sizes!

Edit: Looks like it'll be tough to mill the arms to accept the 9/16" cone washers...so I might yank the knuckle off the spare 60 axle I have and put it on...course that means I have to set up the knuckle from scratch...arrghhh

It might be easier to grind the hole in the stock cones to fit a 9/16 stud.

We moved Rob's Track Hoe over to the farm so he and I will be tearing down the old hog buildings and hauling the metal to the scrap yard, so we will be around to lend a hand.
