can't make up my mind....

Note 2 newer and better but significantly more expensive as in $300 more at T-Mob.

And yes, I know, the S4 is coming... but can't wait much more... sigh...

oh, and please don't even mention iPhones...

Yes.. Wait..
The S line will have LTE within the next month..
42mbs
Also the note is Huge.

Also call and say "cancel service" when prompted
This gets you to thier "loyalty" department.
They can give you much better deals.
If you are under or want a contract that is..

Check mobile.amazon.com

They list the Note II for $200 as an upgrade for my provider (Verizon), and the 16GB Galaxy SIII for $100.

Note2 , awesome phone, I bought a Note2 and sold my S3, note2 is the perfect size, cant stand having a small screen, fits in all my pockets no problem

who in their own mind would buy an Iphony? , overrated peace of junk , small screen
and stuck with I-tunes and all this apple junk

new versions of the s3 suppose to come out next month?

it's the S4, launch some time in March or April IIRC and in the US maybe June or so?

interestingly and this is controversial, but I have been assured repeatedly by TMobile and Samsung that the current S3 is already Tmob-LTE compatible.

yup, just did that earlier in fact. Would save me $500 or more if I go ahead

no such deal for T-mob unfortunately. And Verizon CDMA is a no-go if you travel overseas.

I'd go with the Note2 over the S3 frankly but it's like $300 more (after subsidies). And I may be getting a good digitizer tablet soon too.

see if you can get a decent deal in a N7000 ( Note 1 ) flash it with some new ROMs and you will be more than happy if you are using for basic stuff ..

One fun thing about the Note II it's the increased RAM if you are really justify the amount of thing you gonna do with your phone ..

just you to get an idea I run terminal / Team Viwer app without problems in my N7000

I've got big hands and the Note is way too big even for my honkin' meat hooks. Just got a Galaxy S3 a few days ago and I love it. Rooted it and played around with a few custom ROMs, settled on CyanogenMod 10.1 and it's outstanding.

on a related note, I am delighted with my new Galaxy Note 10.1
The Spen and screen on that thing in particular are great.
I may go with the S3 AND the Note 10.1 instead of the Note2 after all....
The Note 2 may be big for a phone but it's damn small for a tablet...

This is the route I took. I figured the S3 is about the biggest I can comfortably put in my front pocket and not risk breaking or being awkward when sitting? Is that a Samsung in your pocket or...

I did check the Note2 for pocket size and I thought it was fine. Any shirt or jacket pocket should do. Putting my phone in pants pocket is a no-no for me anyway. So I don't think the size is much of an issue really. The supposedly dorky look of holding it to your ear: a) who cares? b) use a bluetooth earpiece. That takes care of that. For me, the only issue with the Note2 is the price. Can't seem to find them well-subsidized. $350-$400 or so at best.
And I gotta say: if this thing is like the Note 10.1 for all but the size: wow!

I got my note for 199 on Sprint a month ago from best buy.

that would be good for a Note2 I think. Not so much for a Note.
But unfortunately Tmob is usually more expensive than the other guys for the phones. They did have the S3 for $99 last week though. (And Costco does now too.) You can tell the S4 is coming...
