Dear CottonLand Cruisers,
some of you will remember my father and me (Reinhold und Markus Voss) as the german visitors of the SCC 2010.
My father and I travelled from Germany to the USA to buy some special parts for our BJ42, which we own since 1981, and to visit the SCC.
We really enjoyed these days at the Superlift ORV Park together with you guys, the warm welcome, the great hospitality and the very friendly way you hosted us in your Land Cruiser Family. We felt home from the very first moment.
These days are unforgettable for us. My father liked to remember these days and to talk about...and whished to visit the SCC again.
For this years SCC I already collected information about flights, motorhome rentals... but he said he has no good feeling and wants to do the trip next year and to sent instead some beer like last year as regards from us.
He became seriously ill in September and has to be taken to the hospital where he died last Saturday. He was 73 years old.
During all the sorrows we had in our minds I forgot the beer, sorry.
He said these days at the SCC 2010 belong to the best days of his life.
Now our hearts are full of teariness and pain, and I know that he would like it when I close this chapter of his life, by telling you his feelings and saying goodbye in his name.
It was a personal need of mine to do so...and excuse me using the forum for this. I hope you know to appreciate your great friendship and your country.
Stay as you are and enjoy every moment.
I lost my father, but much more painful...I lost my best friend.
Thanks
Markus and Reinhold Voss (+ 20.October2012)
If someone has pictures showing my father or me or both at the SCC 2010, I would be thankful to get it.
