Yup, 1” - you’ll be shocked though at how high you can actually stuff the tires at full bump. I use this picture a lot as the example. I trimmed more after this but you can see the issue.

I wonder how much of that is a result of the Tundra arms? I have a .75" BL and can clear with full uptravel. I did pull the fender outwards about .75" at the top. Have not trimmed the fender yet other than forward of the tire.

Good point, could be I get just enough up travel and swing arc, because I had to clear my pinch weld all the way up. I also did all my clearing with shock and bump stops removed, wanted to account for those extra unexpected hits, so I may have gone a little aggressive.

I’ve got all the pinch welds done, the front body mounts relocated, and extended aftermarket bump stops installed on both locations up front. I’ve already taken some pretty big hits off-road, and so far I haven’t had any fender contact….

Have any of you relocated the front left AHC reservoir or come up with an aftermarket replacement for the fender liner access panel? I had to trim the front liners quite a bit to clear the 37s, and now the OEM access cover is barely hanging on.

Whole heartedly agree. However, it's not the end of the world if you are making bigger gains elsewhere. Everyone says this platform has great RTI scores stock so if you lift an LC 2 inches, bump stop 2", and add 2" to down travel you haven't done any detriment to suspension travel and have increased break over, approach, and departure angles which are the weakest points IMO.

A LX with a 1" sensor lift, limiting bump stop 1", and adding 2" to down travel is a win in my book.

Here is my 80 with 2.5-3" lift on 42's next to my sensor lifted LX on 36's. 80 is on the higher side of the sloped garage and isn't that much taller. The 80 has '7" lift shocks' on it and has 3-3.5" up travel and 9" down travel as measured at the shock body.

That said, I still LOVE the look of a 200 with more lift no matter if it's body or suspension.

That is a nice lineup. That’s the one vehicle I still need to add to mine is a Land Cruiser of any kind. My oldest got our 5th Gen on 35s and my 7 year old wants a FJ Cruiser in blue!!! She made that very clear 😂.

If you're talking about the AHC fluid reservoir tank and access panel, that is rear of the passenger tire, yes that spot gets tight with full compression. Especially if the passenger side tire is articulated down. I did massage the plastics and pin them back a bit. Didn't need much and is working great now.

I struggle with this in making an all around wheeler. Everyone wheels different and it would make sense that mods should be tailored to the individual. For rock crawling, this makes sense.

At factory ride height, there is only 3.5" compression travel and 5.5" droop (rear has a bit more but front end is usually what's limiting). In fast Baja type running, more compression travel is needed to manage big hits. I sensor lift partly for clearance to your point, but it's just as important for high speed deserts. I can imagine this is not an area where the 80-series excels, but the 200-series eats deserts.

It's also my hangup with portals. It would be next level for rock crawling, but with added unsprung weight, I think it would compromise high speed stuff?
 
I’ve got about 3,000 miles on my ‘21 LX570 running 37x12.5R17 Falken AT4Ws. At this point, I’m down to two very minor clearance issues:
  • A slight rub on the front sway bar at full steering lock.
  • A very slight rub on the front edge of my CBI bumper, but only under hard braking from highway speeds as the suspension compresses.
I’ve got a Dissent front bumper sitting in the garage, and I’m hoping that’ll eliminate the front clearance issue. Longer term, I also plan to slightly notch the front sway bar and box it back in with reinforcement after seeing another member do it.

There’s definitely no cookie-cutter, bolt-on solution for fitting 37s on a 200 Series/LX570, but with a bit of trimming, tweaking, and patience, it’s honestly not that difficult to make it work.

Also, what are you doing with that CBI bumper after you go with the Dissent bumper? (asking for a friend 😂)

I’m running no spacers just +25 offset wheels. I’m looking to sell the CBI. If you’re interested shoot me a DM! It’s got a little bit of light surface rust, but willing to offer a good deal
